
Election Commission to Announce Roadmap for 13th National Parliamentary Election on Thursday

The Election Commission (EC) will announce the roadmap for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election on Thursday, confirmed Senior Secretary of the EC Secretariat, Akhtar Ahmed.
Speaking at a media briefing held at the EC headquarters in Agargaon on Wednesday (27 August), the senior secretary said, “We have already finalized the work plan (roadmap) and will share it with you tomorrow. The announcement was slightly delayed as I was outside Dhaka. The matter is now on my table, so please wait until tomorrow.”
Earlier in the day, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A.M.M. Nasir Uddin presided over a meeting where four election commissioners and the EC secretary approved the roadmap for the 13th parliamentary polls.
As part of the preparations for the national election, the roadmap includes key issues such as political party registration, constituency demarcation, election observation, amendments to the Representation of the People Order (RPO), formulation of regulations and guidelines, IT-supported registration and postal ballots for expatriates, and procurement of election materials.
